‘Maedeup’ is the word ‘Knot’ in Korean.

Like interactions with others and complex relationships among people, knots most closely resemble the shape of our lives. No matter how intricate they are, knots symbolize persistent relationships and people we really care about, because no matter how tangled they are, the two ends of each knot meet with each other in the end.

The thought of untangling knots can be intimidating, but the process of carefully untangling knots one by one is a tangible reminder of knots’ long history and humanity, and a way to experience the existence of a living knot.

Just like the knot that started from a tangled earphone cord, the story of our life that knots deliver, and another meaning hidden in knots we realize as we untangle them,

What we want to express through the TOITT’s collection for the 2025 S/S Season is oriental knots made by intertwining different materials that are actually similar to each other.
